Nel x Blu Puppies

At 16 weeks, the exceptional puppies from Nel’s final litter are available for new homes.

I reached out to the owner of the toughest, smartest, most-driven dog I have bred, named Blu, and asked if I could mate him to my best breeding female, James McCloskey’s Nel (by Sweep), who breeds big, strong, forward pups.

The result on 25-October, was 10 pups (5M/5F). Pups will selectively be ready to go to new homes at the beginning of March . Fully vaccinated and registered with the International Sheep Dog Society.

Nova

A pup like Nova comes around only every so many years. She really has it all: a delightful, cheerful personality, whimsy, and a sense of joy and smile that define her. She adores humans and whatever fun is in the offing. To add to all of that, Nova shows clear working aptitude.

My plan was to keep Nova. Only after her 6th month did I decide she was too spontaneous and joyful for life here among the tough-girls on the farm. And while she would make a good working dog …she was really more than a working dog. She is special and deserves a special situation and the best life I can give her. Here, she would be down the pack. Somewhere else, she would shine.

So, like a favorite pup years ago, named Fluff, I am looking for an exceptional home for my exceptional, cute as can be and loving pup.

Mindi

Mindi is a dynamo. She is a physically strong pup, fast and agile, with guts and a strong eye. She is a forward, pushy female who needs to be called back, not asked to advance forward. She is the Energizer Bunny who never quits. A superb athlete. Intense. Powerful. Mindi is not a pet, she has too much drive for that. This is a pup who wants push sheep, whether in a shoot or on a pitch. She is all in to her work. And she needs a home that is going to give her plenty of work and challenge.

Mindi is exceptional. Pups this good rarely come to market.

Patch

Patch is a lovable, stable and smart pup. He is showing ever-stronger interest and style in herding and the intensity to go with it. Very biddable and easy to have around. A gem of a pup. Could do practically anything, from stock work to games. He is a medium-sized pup with a strong, athletic build. Both ears are now lifted for a super look. Preference is for a working home.

Skye

Skye is a physically strong pup and has the most natural style and herding instinct of her litter. She is hyper-focused on movement with nice flanks and outruns. Skye world make a very good working dog first and companion second. Needs a working home.

Berg

Berg is big dog with an even bigger heart and an easy going, charming personality. He is the very definition of a ‘joyful’ dog: always smiling, born with inner happiness and genuine affection. Berg was drawn to me more than any of the pups in the litter, from the start. He is trusting and kind and likes humans. He will work stock, but will never be a star. Berg will find other pursuits even more interesting with his own people.
