Skye
Skye is a premium pup in all respects. Pups of this quality rarely come to market other than at auction. They are quietly exchanged between friends.
Skye is from Northern Ireland, bred by Bernadette Cochrane from her Jody, a daughter of Serge van der Zweep’s Mac and granddaughter of Serge’s Gary. Serge told me that “all his good dogs come from Mac”, twice Continental Champion. Skye’s sire is one of the most sought after breeding males, past Welsh team member and powerful trial dog, Lyn Howells’ Boss.
4 month-old Skye is fast, strong, and focused on the action. Stunning to look at, she has a keen interest in sheep but has not been trained. Skye has superb temperament and classic border collie markings. She hits my sweet spot of a 4 on the 5 point power / intensity scale and feels promising as a trial or working dog. Skye is a delight to have around while not working.
I took two females from the Jody x Boss litter, knowing that because of littermate dynamics I might only be able to keep one. Skye’s sister Lotti is a little more powerful, pushing the 5 boundary on the power / intensity scale, which suits me better, so Skye is available to a new home.
Skye is fully vaccinated. She is an IGS carrier, otherwise clear on her full breed profile.
