{"id":12,"date":"2023-02-11T19:18:26","date_gmt":"2023-02-11T19:18:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thunderingpawsfarm.com\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2025-01-17T22:48:22","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T22:48:22","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/thunderingpawsfarm.com\/index.php\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-huge-font-size\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thundering Paws Farm was the name given by a friend when she first visited, because the running collies sounded like &#8220;thunder&#8221; to her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The farm in Strafford, Vermont, sits on two original 100 acre land grants from the French &amp; Indian War, purchased by the first selectman of the town and a future Revolutionary War veteran.  The 1820 brick farmhouse was built by his son, whose wife is my relative. The house sits at 1600 ft.  The highest elevation is a N-S ridge at about 2000ft\/600m.
